About us
citypass-rome.com is a multilingual information and booking site for the Rome City Pass. The pass is issued by Turbopass. It covers the Colosseum with the Roman Forum and the Palatine, the Vatican Museums with the Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Basilica, the Pantheon and Castel Sant'Angelo, together with a 48-hour hop-on hop-off bus and a hop-on hop-off boat on the Tiber. It is bought for 1 to 7 days. Public transport and the airport transfer are upgrades, not part of the base pass.
Rome's two great ticket desks do not talk to each other. The Colosseum, the Forum and the Palatine belong to the Italian state and are sold by the archaeological park; the Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's belong to the Vatican, a different state with its own queue, its own calendar and its own rules. Nothing the city issues covers both, and closing that gap is what the Rome City Pass is for: one purchase, one place to claim your time slots, both banks of the Tiber. What we explain here is how early those slots have to be claimed, which sights you can still simply walk up to, what the bus and the boat actually reach, and from how many days on the longer versions still add anything.

What this site is not
citypass-rome.com is an independent guide. We are not the official website of Turbopass. We are not a general Rome travel guide and not a hotel portal, and we deliberately leave out hotel booking, other Rome passes and tickets without a pass connection. We do not sell the pass ourselves: bookings are completed directly with Turbopass, and their current prices, availability and terms apply.
